International Exchange at Springdale Park Elementary

On June 26, the Springdale Park students in AfterSchool Classe’ Summer Camp skyped with students from Greengates International School in Mexico City, Mexico. The students compared their daily school life in Atlanta with the daily school life of students in Mexico City. They discussed places of interest with their international peers, including cities, sports, favorite activities, and more. They also skyped with students from many countries including Canada, Persia, Russia, Netherlands, Korea, China, Argentina, and England.

The camp’s theme, Exploring the World with After School Classe’, has given students the opportunity to explore the culture, sports, and foods of Australia, Europe, Africa, and North America. This event was coordinated through Mr. Ben Green, a fifth grade teacher at Greengates, who is from London, England.
