In an effort to continuously support academic achievement, the Atlanta Public Schools (APS) Adult Literacy Program will host an event next week to help adults explore the range of opportunities available after earning a high school diploma or GED.
The Adult Literacy Program educates adults who did not complete high school, and helps them reach their greatest potential in the home, workplace and community. In April, eligible students participated in the program’s first commencement ceremony, and as a continuation of that notable milestone APS is providing opportunities for program participants to learn about jobs and obtain additional skills to become self-reliant. Next week’s event was organized for that purpose.
