APS north region collaboration hosts family literacy night

This evening from 4:00 -6:00 pm, Atlanta Public Schools (APS) will host Family Literacy Night for families of students attending APS North Region schools.  This includes all schools in the Douglass High School cluster, the North Atlanta High School cluster, B.E.S.T. Academy and Coretta Scott King Young Women’s Leadership Academy. Families are invited to join APS familyengagement specialists, media specialists, early learning specialists and APS’ summer school administrator for interactive research based learning sessions. 

What: North Region Family Literacy Night (Parents from all APS regions are welcome to attend)

When: Tuesday, May 2nd from  4:00pm to 6:00pm

Where: Southwest Regional Library (3665 Cascade Rd, Atlanta, GA 30331

Who: APS North Region Collaboration (Family Engagement Specialists, Select Media Specialists, Early Learning Specialists, Summer School Administrator)

Description:  Students and families will learn about Common Core, how to assist students with academics at home, test taking strategies, summer school options, summer reading program details and more.
