Seaworld presented the physical characteristics of penguins by selecting a student volunteer to put on a penguin suit. The students learned about the body parts as the volunteer put on the blubber suit, feathers, flippers, and feet. Seaworld also selected 6 student volunteers to participate in a relay race with an egg. The students had to transfer the egg to their partner using only their feet. This activity demostrated how male and female penguins take turns watching over their egg. Seaworld also encouraged students to help penguins by recycling and keeping the rule “don’t trash where you splash.”
