Long-time North Atlanta High School Principal Mark Mygrant will return to lead the school on an interim basis, as the search continues for a new leader. Mygrant will formally retire this month, but will return a month after his retirement to lead preparations for the start of classes for the new school year on August 6, as well as continue plans for the relocation of the school’s students, faculty and staff to their new location, scheduled for the start of the 2013-14 school year. Tentative plans are for Mygrant to return as principal for three months, after which a new principal is expected to be hired. The search for a new leader for North Atlanta High School will continue to include participation by parents and members of the local community. APS officials are hopeful the process will be concluded by late summer.
