The National Association of Social Workers has deemed March as National Social Work Month. Every week throughout the month, one of the social work disciplines will be celebrated and the second week in March – March 5 through March 11 – is the time that school social work is celebrated. APS has more than 30 full-time school social workers, who do everything from conducting home visits to identify the needs of students and their family to providing individual, family and group counseling. The Board of Education recognized our APS social workers during their March monthly board meeting.
