Additionally, all projects designated first, second and third place winners in seven of the nine technology categories are eligible to advance to the Georgia Student Media Festival (GSMF) on April 29, 2012. The APS One Academic Fair provides a stage for students to demonstrate their serious contributions to the advancement of society and our way of life. Students participating in the fair learn how to isolate important problems and how to attack and solve problems all within the framework of organized, logical thought and study. The path to the APS One Academic Fair begins at the school level science fair, where students have the opportunity to exhibit their research projects. Students with projects showing merit in the local school fair may compete in the APS district-wide fair. There are three categories of competition at the fair: Social Studies, Technology, and Science and Engineering. The One Academic Fair is sponsored by the APS Mathematics and Science Department. 2011-2012 District One Academic Fair Technology Winners *Students with an asterisk beside their name will represent the district at the state level,Georgia Educational Technology Fair in Macon, Georgia, March 10, 2012. 3D Modeling Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Patrick Reid/ Charles Mougin North Atlanta/Lori McCall 1st * Animated Graphic Design Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Jeremy Jackson Coan MS/Debbie Vassell Mitchell 1st * Sarah Evans North Atlanta/Lori McCall 1st * Digital Photography Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Jessie Rubini North Atlanta/Lori McCall 1st * Digital Video Production Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Dinah Hutson Miles/Keisha Miles 1st * TheRecia Lindsey/Tanaya Mays Deerwood/Candace McLellan 2nd Adams Keys BEST/Alva Hartry 1st * Devin Rowe BEST/ Alva Hartry 2nd I Ame’ R Duniani BEST/ Alva Hartry 3rd Charlotte McCauley North Atlanta/Lori McCall 1st * Freya James/ Neelie Kibler North Atlanta/Lori McCall 2nd Caroline Langley/ Estella Dieci North Atlanta/Lori McCall 3rd Larry Hall/Divante Bunson South Atlanta-CAD/Tokie Rome 1st * Tre’ Cotton South Atlanta-CAD/Tokie Rome 2nd JoVaugh Truitt South Atlanta-CAD/Tokie Rome 3rd MultiMedia Applications Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Jonathan Combs/ Weldon Freeman DH Stanton/Brenda Street 1st * Jaydon Linsey Beecher Hills/Ovura Crosby & Anita Fowler 3rd Benjamin Van Winkle FL Stanton/Brenda Simmons 1st * Cierrah Standifer Dunbar/Shawntye Finch 1st * Justin Gresham /Xavier Jacob Parkside/ Katrina Reed 2nd Haley Rosales/ Jazmin Ronrico/ Ratliff Cannon Whitefoord/Carmen Byrd 3rd Lawanda Cofer/ Taylor Head Harper-Archer/Letitia Green 1st * Aaron Cheese/ Tinsley Stokes North Atlanta/Lori McCall 1st * Non-Multimedia Applications Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Aaron Cheese North Atlanta/Lori McCall 1st * Robotics Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Bobby Sandimanie, III Drew Charter/Sharon Magnum 1st * Hector Romo-Arias/ Sanchez Sutton Long/DeMarco Mitchell 1st * Programming Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Adeola Ayeni Therrell STEMS/ 1st * Web 2.0 Internet Applications Name School/Sponsoring Teacher Place Christopher John-Hodge/ Breylin Horton Harper-Archer/Sharon Jones 1st * Margaret Margeson/ Molly Harrington/ North Atlanta/ Lori McCall 1st * Share this: Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Print (Opens in new window) Print More Share on X (Opens in new window) X Like this:Like Loading… Discover more from APS Today Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email.
