Come join Atlanta Public Schools in celebrating National School Lunch Week Wednesday, October 12th– Friday, October 14. K. Bradley Rouse – team chef for the Atlanta Hawks serves up lunch to Mary Lin Elementary students during the 2010 Lunch Week ATLANTA – APS is celebrating National School Lunch Week with ‘celebrity chefs’ serving healthy, nutritious meals for student success at schools throughout the district. The recognition will highlight school gardens and nutritious school meals served everyday in APS schools. Among the celebrity chefs appearing at APS schools during the week are: Chef Marvin Woods, former TNT cooking show host, will be at Garden Hill Elementary School, 285 Sheridan Road, Atlanta 30305 starting at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 12. Lisa Curtis, Chef & Owner, Urban Pie Restaurant, will serve students lunch at Toomer Elementary School, 65 Rogers Street, Atlanta 30317 starting at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 12. Jonathan Badineaux, Atlanta Falcons Defensive Tackle, will serve lunch to students at Long Middle School, 3200 Latona Drive, Atlanta 30354 starting at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, October 18. The National School Lunch Week recognition was extended to October 18 due to the Columbus Day holiday Monday, October 10.
