On Sunday, September 25 the APS Office of High Schools and the Department of K-12 College and Career Readiness will host “Education on the Green: Putting for Students’ Dreams,” the district’s first annual golf tournament. The event will take place at Heritage Golf Links (455 Britt Road, Tucker, GA 30084) from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm. Registration begins at 7:15 that morning.
The day will begin with a “grab and go” breakfast and 90 minutes of practice play. The shotgun start begins promptly at 9:00 am.
The tournament will support K-12 college and career readiness programs, initiatives, projects and services, such as: the Youth 21st Century Atlanta Scholars Programs, the Youth About Business Program, the Georgia Entertainment Media (GEM) Gaming Camp, “Connections” with NASCAR and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and our APS College and Career Centers.
