Approximately 200 people gathered at M.A. Jones Elementary last week for the SNAPPS*-hosted Coffee and Conversation with Superintendent Erroll Davis.
Board members present were Chair Brenda Muhammad, who delivered brief remarks, and Cecily Harsch-Kinnane. In the audience alongside parents and community members was a lively contingent of APS teachers, model teacher leaders and principals, who expressed their readiness for the new school year.
The superintendent fielded questions mostly about the fair and cost-effective treatment of employees on administrative leave and the importance of ongoing community and parental involvement.
Three candidates for the permanent seat of Education District 2 representative also attended the forum.Â
Each day this week we will post one question and answer from this informative town hall.Â
