Meet the South Atlanta School of Computer and Animation & Design SGA president

We often are asked where we come up with our story ideas, and we often answer, wherever they pop up! That’s why we got a kick out of this interview we saw on the homepage of South Atlanta’s School of Computer Animation and Design, which featured an interview with its new SGA president, Tabrea Williams. Here’s the text …

After the votes were counted and all of CAD’s many voices were heard, we now have a new Student Government Association president! Tabrea Williams is a junior with a bubbly, infectuous, spirit that won the hearts of her fellow classmates. Her spirit is not the only thing that she has going for her. She is a scholar, with a GPA of 3.75 and is the youngest elected SGA president at South Atlanta Computer Animation and Design. We have interviewed our lovely SGA president Tabrea Williams and here is what she has to say regarding the honor and responsibility her fellow classmates have bestowed upon her:

Question: What influenced you to run for SGA president?
Tabrea: I felt it was time for a change. After being here for numerous years, I felt it was time to step up in my educational community and be a force for bringing all of our students together around the common goal of progressing our school.

Question: What are your goals as SGA president?
Tabrea: I would like to increase class participation in school-wide activities as well as have students take a more serious approach to school. School is the path to success and I would love for all of CAD’s students to begin in their freshman year with this understanding. Too frequently students do not realize that they need to work hard at their grades from the beginning of their freshman year all the way through to the end of their senior year.

Question: What characteristics make you a leader?
Tabrea: I am always prepared, I connect well to other people, and I am an all around student who sets an example for others. You can have a social life at school and still balance it out with assuring your school work is handled properly.

Question: What are your future goals?
Tabrea: I plan on graduating and attending Georgia Tech to major in computer engineering.

Question: What is your motto?
Tabrea: “Strive for the best!”
