Snow cancels school, district office, ABOE meeting

UDPATE: Schools and district office will be closed Friday as well; we hope to reopen following Monday’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday — on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

Due to inclement weather throughout the Atlanta area, Atlanta Public Schools is canceling school and work at the Center for Learning and Leadership on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, as well as the scheduled Atlanta Board of Education meeting on Monday.

Yes, It's Thursday already. Lets not wait till 5pm to announce if school is closed on Friday. The sidewalks would need a good melt to be safe for the kids. Can we get an early decision from APS today?

Im not so thrilled about school being closed for the 3rd consecutive day. However,i do thank you for putting their safety first.I dont know how bad the roads are,but we are still,as of this very moment,STILL SNOWED IN OUR HOUSES!We cant drive out of our driveways, less long off the street.Keep the kids @ home for the remainder of the week.Let them make the days up @ the end of the year!
