APS alum gives back to Thomasville Heights Elementary

Duane West, a motivational speaker and TV personality, has donated two bicycles to deserving students at Thomasville Heights Elementary. West, a former wrestler and football player, has made health and wellness a major priority in his motivational appearances and books. “It was important for me to give something back to the community and my neighborhood,” said West, who attended Lakewood Elementary (now Dobbs Elementary).

West worked on the donation with Dr. Susan Dyer from the Office of Curriculum and Instruction. The two bicycles will be awarded to high-achieving students at the beginning of the next semester.
