On July 13, Atlanta Public Schools will launch Lawson 9.0, an upgrade to the existing Lawson 8.0 system. The upgrade will deliver a number of enhancements, including seamless navigation and reporting, improved comparability between APS and other school districts, and alignment of the APS chart of accounts with the State of Georgia’s chart of accounts.
Although the official launch date is July 13, the Lawson upgrade team led by Sandi Biedermann will begin migrating to the new system July 1. The migration will interrupt access to commonly used Lawson modules. From July 1 until July 13 access to Requisition Self Service (RSS) will be interrupted. From July 8 until July 13, access to Employee Self Service (ESS) will be interrupted. Employees use ESS to view check stubs, check vacation and sick leave balances, and view benefits information.
