Burgess-Peterson students tour new East Atlanta Village fire station with Mayor Reed

Burgess-Peterson Academy students attended the dedication of Atlanta Fire Station 13 located in East Atlanta Village at 431 Flat Shoals Ave. They were greeted by Mayor Kasim Reed and Interim Fire Chief Joel Baker (pictured). The students toured the new building and learned it is 9,775 square feet, has a water conservation feature, is designed for a total of 10 firefighters, and has a 100-year life cycle design. The original fire station was erected in 1921. The Company Name is “Lucky 13.”
