Before kids pack away their bookbags, pencils and other gear, they get to have a moment in the sun, literally, as schools celebrate Field Day. At Dunbar Elementary, the outdoor celebration will include a visit from Lil’ Jimmy (right). The fictional 12-year-old character who is being raised by his grandfather and provides kids with valuable life lessons through raps and songs. Lil’ Jimmy will perform for Dunbar students Tuesday, spin a few tunes and perhaps join a few of the Field Day competitions. Field Day takes place from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 18.
