APS’ Atlanta Wolfpack earns third varsity wheelchair basketball championship title

The Program for Exceptional Children‘s Atlanta Wolfpack team won the 2010 AAASP State Wheelchair Basketball Championship at the Georgia High School Association (GHSA)  State Basketball Championship on March 12 at the Gwinnett Arena. This is the third consecutive win for the Wolfpack team. The Wolfpack team is no overnight success. Team development and a winning record is the result of hard work, commitment and perseverance as well as the leadership of the excellent coaching staff: Andrea Arnold, of Continental Colony Elementary, and Jimmy Roberts, of Perkerson Elementary

“We are extremely proud of our Atlanta Wolfpack team and we are thankful that the Program for Exceptional Children is committed to providing interscholastic sports opportunities for students with physical disabilities”.  Go Wolfpack!
