It was a great run while it lasted, so here’s a little photo salute to the Mays High boys’ basketball team, which advanced to the Class AAAA championship game before falling to an impressive Miller Grove team. It was Mays’ first championship-game appearance since winning consecutive state titles in 2004 and 2005. For a recap of Saturday night’s game, check out this AJC article. Meanwhile, the Carver High girls’ team put up a heckuva battle before falling to Columbia High 40-36 in the Class AAA title game. For a recap of that game, check out this AJC article.
