Finch Elementary innovates Black History at Sadie Mays Rehabilitation Center

Finch Elementary School will present a Black History Program on Feb. 18 at the Sadie Mays Rehabilitation Center to honor African American contributions to American history. What will be unique about the program is the manner in which they will not only recognize significant African Americans from the past but also the contributions of the residents of the Sadie Mays Rehab Center themselves. This program was conceived with the notion that children deserve opportunities such as this to actively reflect on ancestral contributions together with the significance of this community in American history. Included in the program will be performances in the fine arts such as music, dance, poetry reading, etc.

The event will be from  11 a.m.- Noon. For any additional questions please contact Dr. Linda Paden (404) 802-4000.
