Congratulations to Sarah Smith Elementary

Here’s a last-minute bit of holiday cheer. The Governor’s Office of Student Achievement has named Sarah Smith Elementary a bronze medal winner of the 2009 Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS) awards!

“The collaboration of each team and the use of data to help drive your instruction as well as the focus on GPS have helped us reach this level of success,” Smith Principal Dr. Sydney Baker told his staff on Friday. “I applaud your efforts and look forward to even greater success this year!”

One of the criteria to receive this award is that at least 95% of students meet or exceed standards as measured on the CRCT.  Congratulations to the students, faculty, staff and parents of Sarah Smith.
