Delta Sigma Theta treats Usher-Collier Heights students like royalty

The Ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated sponsored a trip to the premiere of the Disney feature The Princess and the Frog for 80 lucky young girls on Dec. 11. As partners of Usher-Collier Heights Elementary, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Gwendolyn Rogers, the Delta Sigma Thetas and the Usher-Collier Heights family chose the young ladies based on their academic as well as their behavioral status in the classroom and around the school.

All of the girls were beautifully dressed to make the experience more memorable. Every little girl had the opportunity to be crowned and to take her walk down a plush red carpet, while giving her own special princess wave! Each one received a tiara, a wand, and a princess bag full of goodies as keepsakes from this magical experience. The Usher-Collier Heights family would like to salute Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and give a special thanks to this great sorority for the cultural experience.
