Maynard H. Jackson High undergoes a Metamorphosis

We were fortunately to spend some time over the weekend at Maynard H. Jackson High’s Fall Dance Concert.  The concert included several modern-dance styles. Dances were accompanied from and inspired by musical artists such as Michael Jackson, Bill Withers and the Temptations. The program concluded with a 20-minute dance of “The Lion King,” choreographed by Jackson Artistic Director Tiffany Mingo-Davis. Student participation included lighting and costume design. Mrs. Mingo-Davis recentlywas honored as Atlanta Public Schools’ Arts Educator of the Year.
