Orane Douglas, a student at The New Schools at Carver, was the winner of the National Teen Driver Safety Awareness Essay Contest. He received $300 for being the first-place prize winner. After providing this acknowledgement, State Farm invited Douglas to the state capitol to have his picture taken with Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue for his outstanding accomplishment. State Farm was so impressed with Douglas that they mentioned offering him an internship during his sophomore year of college! Congratulations, Orane Douglas and Carver!
