Congratulations to Morris Brandon Elementary, which has been selected by the Georgia Department of Transportation as the “banner” school for International Walk to School Day on October 7. The annual event promotes students taking safe routes to school. Brandon has celebrated this event for several years, says Principal Karen M. Evans, who adds that the school provides awards and festivities for students who walk on this day. A representative from the Georgia Department of Transportation will visit the school October 7 to to speak with students. For more information about the event, click here.
