The grants just keep on coming …

Speaking of Michael Jordan Grants, we’re also excited to share the good news about Letitia Glover, a Science Contact Teacher at Maynard H. Jackson High’s School of Instructional Technology. Ms. Glover earned a $5,000 Jordan Fundamentals grant for her project titled “Teaching Myself to Learn How I Learn.”

“I will help students learn how they learn using techniques from Brain Based Learning and Metacognition Research,” said Ms. Glover. “Many studies have proven that learning is significantly more powerful when learners understand their own cognitive styles. The Michael Jordan Grant will fund this initiative. I will be able to purchase materiel support for students, provide them incentives, and purchase instructional materials. I am extremely excited about this!”
