West Manor Elementary students select award-winning books

Atlanta Public Schools’ West Manor Elementary students received a visit this morning from the traveling Coretta Scott King Children’s Book Fair and representatives from the National Black Arts Festival (NBAF), where they got a chance to select an award-winning book of their choice featuring African-American authors and illustrators. The fair featured a performance by master storyteller and children’s writer “Mama Koku” (Donna Kokumo Buie, pictured above left.)
