WABE marks 38th anniversary of desegregation of APS

WABA has an occasional series that turns back the clock to look at pivotal moments in the city’s history. On Sunday, Atlanta’s public radio station looked at the desegregation of Atlanta Public Schools on Aug. 30, 1961 — seven years after the historic U.S. Supreme Court’s decision, Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka.

Check out WABE’s “Morning Edition” host Steve Goss’ interview with Georgia State University historian Cliff Kuhn here.
