Douglass High girl’s basketball star Khaadilah Miller already knows how to put on a show on the court. Now she’s ready to take a moment for a nifty off-the-court move. Miller, a candidate for Miss Georgia basketball player of the year, will sign an official letter-of-intent to play for the University of Georgia – during halftime of today’s game against Grady High. (Tipoff is 5:30 p.m.).
According to Douglass head coach Vernise Harris-Hill, Miller is expected to be featured in ESPN RISE magazine with a full-page picture on the top cover of the December 2009 edition.
Miller’s list of accomplish seems endless. A first-team all-state selection, she’s also an All-America candidate after already having scored more than 1,500 career points. The 5-foot-10 combo guard averages 23.4 points, 7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals on her way to being named one of the top 20 players in the nation according to Rivals.com.
