Mary Ann Rose, a volunteer from Canine Assistants, brought Flint, an 18-month-old assistance dog to visit first-graders at Towns Elementary on Nov. 8. Flint has learned more than 80 commands and is now ready to go to work. He will soon be placed in a family where he will serve as a helper for a person with special needs. The children had many questions that Rose was happy to answer! According to Towns teacher Mimi Seydel, the students and faculty learned that Flint likes to swim, and his favorite treat is peanut butter.
