GaSTC

The Department of Instructional Technology and the Division of Academics are excited to recognize the winners of the 2024 Georgia Student Technology Competition (GaSTC).

This year, Atlanta Public Schools had six students win awards at the state level in animation, digital photo production, 3D modeling, internet applications, and productivity design.

Ana Rapposelli and Alex Marshall from Midtown High School won first place in animation for grades 11-12.

Ford Ingram of Howard Middle School won third place in productivity design for grades 7-8.

Antoine Everhart-Chappelle Jr. of Centennial Academy won third place in 3D modeling for grades 7-8.

Aadiv Bhardwaj of Smith Elementary School won third place for internet applications for grades 5-6.

Grace Taylor of Jackson Elementary School won third place in digital photo production for grades 5-6.

The students prepared rigorously for several months before winning first place in the APS Technology & Innovation Competition at the district level that took place in February to advance to the state competition, which was held in McDonough.

The Georgia Educational Technology Consortium Inc. sponsors the GaSTC competition. The students compete solo or in pairs with projects in one of 14 categories. Students from throughout the state in grades 3-12 were judged on originality, clarity, documentation, and design.
