Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is proud to celebrate a group of remarkable students at the Atlanta College and Career Academy (ACCA) who have successfully completed a Grow with Google Career Certificate program. Under the guidance of Ms. Nicole Champion, all 20 participating students completed the rigorous, industry-recognized training in high-demand fields, earning a 100% completion rate!
The Google Career Certificate program is an online training program that offers professional certificates in fast-growing, high-demand technology fields.

“This program empowers our students with real-world, transferable skills that set them apart,” said Dr. Natasha Rachell, director of Instructional Technology for APS. “It’s about more than completing a course – it’s about opening doors to opportunity.”
Dr. Tasharah Wilson, principal and CEO of ACCA, added, “I’m incredibly proud of our students. Their commitment to professional growth and career readiness speaks volumes about the caliber of talent we’re cultivating here at ACCA.”
Nicole Champion, MBA, CTAE pathway instructor, who guided the students through the experience, shared, “Watching my students embrace this challenge and succeed has been one of the most rewarding parts of my year. They now have a credential that proves they’re ready for what’s next – college, career, or both.”

To honor their accomplishment, district leaders visited ACCA last Thursday during both the AM and PM instructional blocks. During the celebration, students received graduation cords as a symbol of their achievement. Seniors wore their cords at commencement, while juniors will proudly keep theirs for next year’s graduation.
“This moment represents the very reason we brought the Grow with Google Career Certificates program to Atlanta,” said Dr. Melissa D. Walker, digital learning specialist and program lead. “Our goal was to provide students with access to high-quality, industry-recognized credentials, and they rose to the occasion. It’s inspiring to see them take ownership of their futures.”
Please join us in applauding these students for their dedication to lifelong learning and their bright futures ahead.
