The Atlanta Public Schools (APS) Department of Instructional Technology is thrilled to recognize the annual District Technology & Innovation Competition winners. Almost 350 students presented over 250 projects on Saturday, February 7, at King Middle School. Students created and presented their solo or two-member team projects in one of twelve categories including, 3D Modeling, Animation, Audio Production, Digital Game Design, Digital Photo Production, Graphic Design, Multimedia Applications, Physical Computing, Programming, Robotics, Video Production, and Web & Mobile Apps

The students’ projects from grades 3-12 were judged on originality, clarity, documentation, and design. Students placing first, second, and third-place in their respective grade-bands were announced on Friday, February 13, 2026, via the Instructional Technology Department’s social media account on X (formerly Twitter) @apsinstructtech. Competition winners are also posted to the event site https://apstic.weebly.com

We are thrilled to have 67 first place winners eligible to advance and compete in the upcoming annual GaSTC state competition hosted by the Georgia Educational Technology Consortium, Inc. on Saturday, March 13.

APS is incredibly proud of all the student innovators for their hard work in this year’s successful district competition!

The Instructional Technology Department extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this event a success, including APS students, staff, administrators, teachers, families, volunteers, and judges. Check out the highlight video from the event.
