Traveling Trophy resides at Humphries Elementary

On Feb. 9, students from all APS elementary schools were invited to a chess tournament held at Humphries Elementary School. However, the traveling trophy is still at the host school because the Humphries chess team used determination, skill and their principal’s advice to achieve a victory. The trophy will be up for grabs again in March because teams compete each month throughout the school year. If you see one of the Humphries chess team members, say congratulations because chess is not an easy sport.
